Certificate of Qualification

To obtain a Certificate of Qualification (Professional Diploma), you must apply to the Maritime Transport Agency and submit the following documents:

International passport
Photo code obtained at a Public Service Hall
Seafarer’s medical certificate
Educational diploma
Payment receipt for the issuance of certificates (payment is made on-site at the Agency)

After submitting your application, you will receive an SMS notification confirming your eligibility to take the examination. You can then select your examination date on the following website: georgianseafarers.ge

After successfully passing the examination, you will pay the applicable fees for the Seafarer’s Identification Card and Seaman’s Book at the Agency. On the designated date, you will receive all your documents, after which you will be ready for employment.
