Level IV Vocational Education Program

By decision of the Vocational Educational Institutions Authorization Council, Meridian College will offer the Level IV Vocational Education Program in “Deck Department Operation” starting from spring 2026.The duration of the program is 11 months, and tuition is fully funded by the state.

Educational Visit to the Batumi Seaport Museum

Students of Meridian College visited the Batumi Seaport Museum, where they learned about the history of the Port of Batumi, maritime activities, and its modern infrastructure

Representatives of the crewing company Lucent Maritime visited Meridian College.

During the meeting, students received detailed information about the company, employment conditions onboard vessels, career development prospects, and future employment opportunities in the international maritime industry.

Memorandum of Cooperation Signed Between Meridian Maritime Training Center and Batumi Sea Port

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Meridian Maritime Training Center and Batumi Sea Port.

Within the framework of this cooperation, vocational students of Meridian College will have the opportunity to complete practical training at Batumi Sea Port.

The memorandum also covers the retraining and professional development of seafarers employed on the port’s vessels, including participation in relevant training courses at Meridian Maritime Training Center.
