Transformation of Vocational Education in the Global Era

Representatives of Meridian College participated in the 3rd International Conference on Vocational Education — “Transformation of Vocational Education in the Global Era: Innovation, Skills and Partnership”, organized by the Vocational Education Center of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

The event brought together representatives of the vocational education sector, international partners, and experts, who discussed current trends in the development of vocational education, the implementation of innovative approaches, the development of skills aligned with labor market demands, and the strengthening of partnerships.

For the representatives of Meridian College, participation in the conference provided an important opportunity to exchange international experience, explore new professional perspectives, and strengthen prospects for future cooperation.

An interim review of the Strategic Plan was conducted at Meridian College with the participation of representatives of the College administration and relevant structuralunits.

During the meeting, the current status of the implementation of strategic objectives was assessed, while achieved results, existing challenges, and directions for further development were discussed.

Meridian College considers the involvement of staff in the strategic planning process to be important in order to ensure organized, consistent, and quality-oriented institutional development.

Working Meeting with Teachers

The administration of Meridian College held a working meeting with vocational education teachers. During the meeting, particular attention was given to the development of the educational process and opportunities for improving its quality. Meridian College continues to actively work on enhancing the quality of the educational process, ensuring its effective and well-organized implementation, and introducing innovative approaches.

Team Building

Meridian organized a team-building event at Kolkheti National Park, where team members strengthened their collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills through various activities in a natural environment.

Maritime Geography of Georgia

Meridian has published Professor Guram Khajishvili’s textbook “Maritime Geography of Georgia”, which introduces the geographical characteristics of Georgia’s coastal zone, the stages of development of maritime trade, and its current trends.
